But every time you try to claim it, and own your gifts. Something in you, doesn't quite trust it.
Suddenly you doubt what you saw, you shrink the force of your presence and think to yourself...
'What if I'm wrong, they'll think I'm crazy. Who do I think I am?!'
It was never a question of whether you're doing enough, doing it 'right' or whether you were ever gifted at all.
The trouble is where you were taught the source lives. In the West, we're taught to outsource our Spiritual authority. That to hold a direct line to Spirit. Requires something special, certified and ordained. To be worthy of owning it.
So you seek it, but it doesn't quite break you through to that thing opening in you. This set up, takes the access you were born with, runs it through an outer system and hands it back as if the method were the source.
Each one adds a layer between you and direct contact. Conditioning you to seek, holding out the bowl of your heart and waiting for someone to fill it. So you can finally breakthrough.
You were taught the Divine is something you earn.
It's an elegant belief, because it gives you a task. It makes the waiting feel responsible, and calls the distance between you and your own Spirit "the work."
You are a Spiritual being made flesh. There's nowhere you need to go to find your Spirit and nowhere you could go to escape it.
The work is getting still enough to draw it forward through you.
Someone can hand you a certificate saying you've been initiated into the mysteries & you'll believe that something's wrong when you leave the ceremony and mundane life continues its course.

The usual path runs on highs.
You go somewhere special, something opens, and within weeks it fades.
When knowing rises in you, the framework asks you to translate it through its terms before you trust it.
Borrowed certainty has a short shelf life.
You'll never be told enough times, by enough people with enough credentials, to finally have faith in yourself.
I don't fit the Spiritual mold.
The openings in my consciousness came through death, pain and magical attack. By every standard the outer doctrines set, I'm the one who isn't supposed to get in.
For years I related to my gifts as a liability, I kept them where no one could see them, including me. Then psychosis triggered by a series of life threatening events, forced me to confront everything I'd been suppressing.
Teachers gave me tools that put my feet back on the ground. Though they also gave me levels, rules and approved ways to receive, and the more I tried to become legitimate through their lens, the further I drifted from what brought me there in the first place.
& spent more than a decade gracelessly journeying inward until the work became a system I could use. I spent nights sobbing, wanting someone outside me to confirm what I was seeing.
When I finally found it echoed in Western esoteric and mystery teachings, I no longer needed it. It fueled me, in an irrevocable understanding of our rightful, and inherent Spiritual lineage.
